Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

I was reluctant to read this, but it’s actually really good! Seth and Kendra don’t want to spend over two weeks with their grandpa, but they don’t have a choice. Kendra finds a mysterious message: Drink the milk. She wonders if maybe it could be the milk that the groundskeeper puts out for the butterflies. But he specifically said not to drink it. So Kendra gets Seth to taste the milk. When it seems fine, she tries it. Then she can see fairies. They’re everywhere! When she tells her grandpa, he tells her and Seth that his property is actually a reserve for magical creatures. It’s called Fablehaven. A Midsummer’s eve is coming, and that’s when all the creatures in Fablehaven run wild. It’s dangerous. Can Kendra and Seth handle all the magical creatures?
