I think I have a new favorite book. June loves reading, and she’s read some creepy books, but to her, that’s okay. But her parents are super strict. They say she can’t read anymore. The confiscate all her books so they can read through them. Then, they get the school librarian in trouble. When June’s school bans reading, she decides, No, I don’t want to stop reading. She starts a library out of her locker for all the students who want to read. It turns out, reading is pretty popular once the adults say it’s banned. June quickly becomes the most liked girl in school, though the teachers can’t tell why… I learned about this book from a librarian at my new library, and I really enjoyed it.
