I love this! It’s a graphic novel. Morgan lives on an island with her mom and little brother. But she has a secret. She can’t wait to get away. And that she likes girls. One day, a mysterious girl saves Morgan from drowning. Morgan, thinking it’s a near-death hallucination, kisses the girl. The next day, the same girl shows up and proclaims her love for her. Morgan is horrified. The girl, Keltie, reveals herself to be a selkie. A selkie is part human and part seal. But when Keltie puts her seal skin back on, the sea will claim her for seven years. Morgan and Keltie slowly get closer. But then Keltie reveals her secret, and Morgan feels betrayed. Will they be able to get over their various secrets, or will Keltie be forced to go back into the sea, broken-hearted?
