This is a really good book, but for some reason, it wasn’t really my cup of tea. Sarah is used to moving. It seems her parents are running from the cold. But then in the middle of the night, her mother just…leaves. Her father starts changing. He stops cleaning, and he keeps forgetting to eat, and when he does eat, it’s raw meat. Then he just packs all their stuff into the car and takes Sarah to a rundown castle in the woods. There lives her grandmother, who Sarah thought was dead. A cruel woman who has many secrets. Her father leaves her there. Then Sarah learns the truth, or at least part of it: Her family is cursed and the first time she falls in love, she will become a beast. Can Sarah undo this curse before she is no longer human?
