Friday, I’m In Love by Camryn Garrett

This was pretty good. Mahalia didn’t get a sweet sixteen because her mom couldn’t afford it. Now she’s decided that she’s going to have a coming out party in celebration of her queerness. She’ll save up the money by herself, too. Then she develops a major crush on the pretty new girl, Siobhan. The only problem? Siobhan has a boyfriend. While trying to earn the money for the party and awkwardly flirting with Siobhan, almost all of Mahalia’s relationships are put to the test. And things get a little complicated when she passive aggressively comes out to her mom sooner than intended. Happy reading!
