This book was interesting, but it took me a pretty long while to get into it. I won’t give spoilers, but the villain was definitely very interesting. Veronica is a photographer, and her best friend Nico is into performance art. Mick has a phobia of having her picture taken. When Veronica and Mick meet at a party, Mick is drawn into Veronica and Nico’s chaotic and artistic life. Veronica and Mick get closer, falling in love in one hot summer, though Veronica’s obsession with taking Mick’s picture is troubling. But then horrible things start happening. Nico’s friend Lily is found dead. Can Mick and Veronica survive the summer? The fire has been lit.
