This was pretty good. Not the best though. Zera is the immortal servant of the witch Nightsinger. She’s been a Heartless for three years, ever since Nightsinger brought her back from the brink of death. Zera will do anything to get her heart back, so when the witches ask her to infiltrate the royal court, she accepts. Her mission? Steal the heart of Prince Lucien. Literally. But the court is dangerous, especially if anyone figures out what Zera is. In her efforts to get close to the prince, she finds her carefully constructed walls crumbling. The assassin is falling for her prey. I wasn’t a huge fan of the romance, but I did like Zera.
