Okay, this was just adorable. I absolutely loved it. Riley aspires to be a musical director, and her favorite part of the year is her school’s spring musical. But then Riley gets caught using her mom’s car without permission…or a driver’s license. Riley’s punishment is she has to work at her dad’s game store for the summer, which she thinks will be absolute torture. And on top of that, the spring musical is canceled. Riley’s caught up with scheming to get the musical back, her annoying ex boyfriend, and her irritating coworker Nathan. But after she accidentally blurts out that she’s dating Nathan to her ex, Paul, she strikes up a deal with Nathan: she’ll fake flirt with him at the store to make his crush jealous, and he’ll fake date her at school so Paul believes Riley’s lie. But hanging out with Nathan isn’t actually that bad, and once Riley joins his DnD group, she may start having real fun at the store…and she may start to develop some real feelings for Nathan. Again, this was super cute, and I loved it.
