This had me hooked, even though it broke my heart a little. A girl wakes up in a ditch, covered in blood, and the worst part…with zero memories of who she is. She’s found by a helpful cop, though he can’t tell her who she is. Then a panicking man shows up at the police station saying he’s her father. He has her school ID and birth certificate, and even family photos. Her name is Mary. Everything checks out, aside from the fact Mary can’t remember a thing.
In a different town, Drew is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Lola. Lola has been missing for weeks, ever since she slammed Drew’s car door and started walking home. But she never made it home, and Drew is the prime suspect. But Drew would never hurt Lola. He’s been putting up Missing posters for her since she disappeared. Finally, after teaming up with his cousin and Lola’s best friend, Drew has a lead. He might know where Lola is, and time is of the essence. Teenagers missing this long don’t usually come home alive. ‘Mary’ starts to realize that she may be in horrible danger with the man who says he’s her father, but there’s no way out. This kinda had me on the edge on my seat. It’s definitely a good read.
