I really loved this, plus it has a very pretty cover. Ivy loves cooking, has severe social anxiety, and was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis a year ago. All summer, she’s basically just stayed inside and watched cooking shows. But now school’s starting, and her also chronically ill sister and mother are trying to convince Ivy to go to a support group for teenagers with chronic illnesses. Ivy begrudgingly agrees to go, although she suspects she won’t say a word. But then she meets Grant. Grant shares her diagnosis, goes to the support group, and is super cute and nice. He understands her. But Ivy’s pain is getting worse, and unfortunately, Grant can’t fix that. Ivy is trying to be brave—for her sister, for Grant, for herself—but it’s hard. This was really sweet, and I kinda loved it. If you want a cute romcom with good disability rep, you should read this.
