I don’t frequently post about non-fiction books, but I figured why not? This will likely be pretty short, given that there’s not a linear story to cover. Rebekah Taussig talks about what her experience as a disabled woman in this world has been like, the importance of accessibility, the dangers of non-disabled people’s “kindness” when it’s not wanted or needed, dating as a disabled woman, and a bunch of other things. I think this is an important read for anyone, whether you’re disabled or not. It brings some light to the fact that disability is often left out when we talk about inclusion. Anyway, I’ve been meaning to read this for a long time now, and I finally picked it up… and read it in one sitting. I hope you enjoy!
