Ben never thought their parents would kick them out of the house when they came out as nonbinary. But that’s exactly what happened. Ben manages to contact their estranged older sister Hannah, who they haven’t seen or spoken to in ten years. Luckily she agrees to let them stay with her and her husband, Thomas. Ben, now facing a new school, a therapist, and frequent panic attacks has no idea what this means for their future. They’re not out to anyone except Hannah, Thomas, and their new therapist. Then…they meet Nathan. Nathan is nice, and funny, and caring. But Ben doesn’t know if they have the courage to reveal their true self to Nathan, even if they’re catching feelings. This is a sweet story about a nonbinary teen who has to find new ways to function after their whole world is turned upside down.
