Each year a baby is left in the woods to die, people think the witch kills the baby’s, or eats them. But in truth, the witch, Xan, does not know why the people leave their babies in the woods. She feeds them starlight to give them a bit of food, they are known as the star children. She brings them to the free city’s on the other side of the forest and gives them to a loving family. But one year, she makes a mistake, she feeds a girl moonlight instead of starlight, the girl is enmagiced, she leaves a trail of magic behind her wherever she steps. Luna, the enmagiced girl, is dangerous, she’s a danger to herself and others. So Xan decides to raise Luna as her granddaughter.
