Rapunzel’s Revenge by Shannon and Dean Hale

This is nothing like Disney’s Rapunzel, she doesn’t start off at the tower, she finds out Gothel isn’t her real mother pretty soon in the book, not to mention, she meets Jack from Jack and the beanstalk! If you can imagine Rapunzel the cowgirl, then you’ve kinda got this Rapunzel in your head. Gothel has growth magic, So Rapunzel’s tree tower keeps getting taller, but Rapunzel’s hair keeps getting longer too. This graphic novel is amazing, it’s got beautiful illustrations by Nathen Hale. Oh, did I mention that her real mother isn’t a queen? I know, it’s crazy. I picked up this book kinda expecting something closer to the Disney version, I like this a little better. It’s Wild West Rapunzel!
