Edge Of Extinction: The Ark Plan by Laura Martin

I really liked it! It had twists and turns that I never expected! 150 years ago, scientists brought the dinosaurs back to life. That’s right, dinosaurs. The Dinosauria Pandemic hit and humanity was all but wiped out. But a handful of people made it to four underground bomb shelters. Sky Mundy lives in North Compound. She’s lived as an orphan ever since her father disappeared five years ago. Her best friend, Shawn, is amazing at putting stuff back together. But he’s never been able to fix the compass that Sky’s father left for her. Until Sky’s twelfth birthday. Inside, they find a note, a map, and something else that Sky has no idea what to do with. Following her father’s orders, Sky sets out to escape from the compound. But right as she’s leaving, Shawn shows up and say he’s coming with her. They meet all kind of craziness topside, including almost-death-by-dinosaur (and they find out that people don’t all live underground). Well, happy reading!
