This was awesome! Though it was a little hard to find. It’s the same author as Pegasus. Freya doesn’t want to be a Valkyrie. She doesn’t want to reap souls. She thinks humans are monstrous brutes who enjoy violence (sometimes they are). But then the first warrior she reaps asks her to help his family. But to help his family, she’d need to go to Midgard, also known as Earth. Valkyries aren’t allowed to leave Asgard without permission, and if she’s caught, she’ll be blinded and her wings will be cut off. But Loki persuades her to go to Midgard. He helps her across Bifröst, the rainbow bridge connecting the realms. On her way to help the warriors’ family, she meets a boy named Archie being bullied. She helps him, and they become friends. She reveals her wings to him, and that she’s a Valkyrie. The humans she meets while on Earth teach her that not all humans are bad. Will she stay and help her new friends, or return to Asgard?
Also, for those of you who don’t know what a Valkyrie is, they are Norse goddesses who deliver the valiant dead to Valhalla. They are also known as Odin’s battle maidens.
this looks like a really interesting book!
