A Year Without Autumn by Liz Kessler

I love this book! It’s by the same author as the Tail of Emily Windsnap. Every year, Jenni and her family go on vacation at their time share. Every year, Jenni’s best friend, Autumn and her family, go too. Jenni and Autumn are inseparable. One day, while they’re on vacation, Jenni uses an old elevator. But the strange thing is, when she gets out…she’s a year in the future. And something terrible has happened. Tragedy has struck Autumn’s family, and Jenni’s family is in chaos. Autumn isn’t the same bubbly, cheerful girl she used to be, but instead she’s…broken. Jenni’s mom has had her baby, and is now VERY over protective. Jenni doesn’t know what’s happening. In her attempt to get back to her time, she ends up three years in the future. Can Jenni fix everything before it’s too late? Or will her life be in tatters forever? The question is, if you could see into the future, would you look?

  1. Just to answer what is clearly a rhetorical question—because I’m weird, that’s why thank you—I would not look into the future. It sounds like a colossally bad idea.
