I, Cosmo by Carlie Sorosiak

I love books, I love dogs, so I obviously love this book. And it’s narrated by a dog! Cosmo is an old dog, he’s thirteen. But he loves his human, Max, to the moon and back. Twelve years ago, when Max was born, Cosmo vowed to love him doggedly (that wasn’t a silly pun I made up, it’s in the book, I promise). Max’s parents have been fighting almost constantly, and Max has an idea that if he and Cosmo can win a dog-human dance competition, they won’t be separated if his parents get divorced. So Cosmo dances. It isn’t easy; he’s an old dog with arthritis, but he does dance. He dances his heart out for his human. I had to look this up before I read it: the dog does not die at the end, don’t worry. This story is amazing. I love it.

  1. thanks goodness about the dog!!!!! I hate it in stories when the dog dies. those authors are so evil. I don’t even understand how they can kill off those poor, sweet, innocent fur babies!
