Mythaya: The First Adventure by Aria Meyers

I love this, though I might be biased, considering the author is one of my best friends! The main character has the same name as the author, by the way. One day, Aria’s family vanishes. Just disappears. She goes to her friend Samantha for help and they discover Mythaya, a mythical land full of dragons, elves and… ninjas? But Mythaya is being governed by an evil warlord named Ikaika. To save her family, Aria and Samantha must travel across Mythaya and bring Ikaika’s reign to an end.
