Hey everyone! Guess what. It’s Banned Books Week! This event, that celebrates everyone’s right to read, stretches from September 18th to September 24th. The theme this year is… “Books unite us. Censorship divides us.”
You might not know, but probably anyone who reads books, has probably read at least one banned book. Probably more. Over a thousand books across the U.S. have been banned.
Challenge censorship. The simplest way to do that is to read a banned book! Some popular examples are the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White, and many, many more.
Woah! I did NOT know that Harry Potter OR The Hunger Games was banned!
