This is an odd book, but I liked it. Snap doesn’t believe the rumor that there’s a witch in the woods. A witch that eats pets. But when her dog goes missing, she has to be sure. Her dog is in fact there, and missing a leg. Snap flees with her dog, but then she finds a group of baby possums, and she doesn’t know how to care for them. So she brings them to the witch. But she isn’t a witch. She’s just an eccentric old lady who sells roadkill online. While caring for the possums, Snap figures out that this old lady might just be magic. Happy reading!
